Bio

Samantha is a writer and figurative visual artist, based in Bristol, England.
Weaving across sculpture and the 2-dimensional field, her artwork explores portraiture, landscape and nature. She is recognised for her accuracy of representation and the depth of her connection to the natural world. Her work has been sold to private collectors in the UK and worldwide.
Samantha has written all her life. She has performed her poems at events and slams and had stories and essays published in a variety of UK magazines. She teaches creative writing with her project the Lil' Writing Shed. When she is not teaching and editing, she is currently working on completing her inspirational biography alongside a novel for children.

Samantha spent her early years on the east coast of the United States of America, and in London, England. It was at the age of 4, whilst travelling across North America in the back of a green mustang, with her colouring books for company, that she knew she wanted to be an artist.
She moved with her family, aged 8, to Paris, France, and began writing stories. Poetry became a support though her teenage years. Upon completing school, she attended the Académie Julian, where she learnt drawing and history of art.
She continued her studies at university in London, taking up literature and drama in English, French and German. Whilst completing her MA, she also studied sculpture with Jane Hill at the City Literary Institute.
Samantha travelled extensively, spending periods living in Germany, Chicago, and Venezuela, where her love of flowers was born, before taking up a
postgraduate teaching degree at Cambridge University.
She has since taught in schools, museums, universities, within adult education, on national wellbeing programmes and on International Study Tours.

It is her belief that the Great Spirit dwells in the fabric of nature, in the trees and flowers, birds, fish, bear and tiger, as in each one of us.
